Sovereign wealth funds
A sovereign fund decides through its own investment teams, under a mandate set by the state.

A manager usually meets the team that covers its strategy first. Commitments go to an internal investment committee, and larger ones go higher. Large investors ask about size, access and the long term.
Scale and capacity
How much capital the strategy can take, and how a large commitment would sit in the fund.
Co-investment
Many ask about direct opportunities alongside a fund commitment, and how deals are allocated between the fund and co-investors.
The long term
Whether this is a manager to back across several funds, and what the next fund will look like.
When managers come to us
The situations that bring a manager raising from sovereign capital to us.
If you need Gulf capital, come to us.
We hold relationships with sovereign funds and family offices in the region and prepare managers for how those investors engage.
If you need an anchor investor, come to us.
The first commitment decides how every investor after it reads the raise. We take the raise to the investors most likely to anchor it, in a set order, before the market has formed a view.
If the committee meeting is in two weeks, come to us.
We prepare the manager for the questions that decide the meeting, with the track record, terms and data room ready for diligence.
