How We Work
A raise runs in a set order, from a thirty minute first conversation to investor relations after the close. Each stage has an owner, and nothing reaches an investor until the raise is ready for a committee.

Before an engagement
Three conversations come before any engagement, and a view on fit follows within a week.

The first conversation
Thirty minutes by video with Abbas Chothia, our Client Advisor, held in confidence. What is being raised, the timeline, the constraints and what has already been tried.
Senior review
David Hunter, Senior Advisor, and Anas Ansar, Managing Partner, review the raise. Our answer follows within 48 to 72 hours, with the changes the raise needs.
The proposed approach
Abbas and David set out how the raise will be positioned, which capital we go to first and in what order, and how the engagement is structured.
On a mandate
The stages of a raise, in the order they run
Positioning
The deck, the track record, the data room and the terms are shaped around the questions an investment committee asks before it commits. This work is finished before outreach begins.
Our network first
The raise goes first to the investors we work with, in the order most likely to bring early commitments. Those commitments give every later allocator a reason to move.
Meetings, terms and close
We prepare every investor meeting with you and attend the ones that decide the outcome, then work from the first indications of interest to final terms and side letters, until the capital is committed.
Investor relations
After the close we keep in regular contact with your investors, so the next raise begins with people who already know how you deliver.
Note: Where a raise calls for investors beyond our network, we select them for the mandate and write each approach for the investor who will receive it.
How we run it
These rules hold on every mandate we run, and a client can hold us to each of them.
Ready before introduction
No investor sees the raise until the materials and terms are ready for a committee. A raise is read properly once.
Our network first
The raise goes first to the investors we work with. Further investors are added when the raise calls for them, each with an approach written for it.
In the meetings that decide it
We prepare every investor meeting with the client and attend those that decide the outcome.
A decision in 72 hours
Within 48 to 72 hours of senior review, the principal has our decision on the mandate and the reasons for it.
With you after the close
Regular contact with your investors between raises, so the next fund opens with people who know your record.
