Private wealth
Private wealth reaches a fund through an intermediary more often than directly.

Many private investors built a business, sold it and now invest the proceeds for their families. An adviser who recommends a fund to them carries that responsibility, and asks the questions the client will ask.
Access and minimums
Whether clients can invest, at what size, and whether a feeder or a lower minimum is available.
Liquidity and cost
When a client can get money back, and what the client pays at each platform or feeder layer.
Reporting and tax
Whether reporting and tax documents will arrive on time, in a form an adviser can pass straight to the client.
