Our Principles
These principles decide which mandates we accept and how we run each one we take. They apply in full to every mandate, whatever its size.

Our principles
A principle that bends for a large mandate is a preference. Ours hold on every one.
Equity, and the sale of a business
We advise on fund commitments, growth equity, real assets equity and the sale of a business. Debt, credit and lending sit outside our practice.
Prepared before it is seen
The materials and terms answer what an investment committee asks before any investor reads them. A raise gets one first reading.
Introductions carry our name
We introduce personally and only to investors whose mandate fits. An allocator who reads our note knows the raise has been reviewed.
A decision within 72 hours
Within 48 to 72 hours of senior review you have our answer. When it is no, we say so and give the reasons.
The investor's time is protected
A raise reaches an allocator only when it fits that allocator's mandate, so every introduction we make is one it expects to read.
On a mandate
Every mandate is reviewed before we accept it and held in confidence once we do.
Selected, then held in confidence
Senior review comes before any engagement is signed and before any investor hears of the raise. Live mandates are never named, and when we are asked who we work with, we give sector and size only.
