INAYA ADVISORY

What We Do

We advise fund managers, sponsors and founders raising equity capital, and owners weighing a sale. We run each raise from preparation to final close and stay with its investors after it.

What stands behind the work

Mandates run from US$100 million to several billion, and each one begins with investors we already know.

Over 200 investor relationships

Across pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, endowments, family offices and private wealth, in the United States, Europe and the Gulf. A raise goes to our network first, in a set order.

A relationship for every mandate

For every kind of mandate we take, from a first institutional fund to a sponsor-led transaction, there is at least one standing investor relationship that fits it.

A decision within 72 hours

The first conversation is thirty minutes by video with Abbas Chothia, our Client Advisor. David Hunter, Senior Advisor, and Anas Ansar, Managing Partner, then review the raise, and the principal has our answer within 48 to 72 hours.

Our approach

The people who review a mandate run it, from the first read of the materials to the final close.

Prepared for the committee

Before any investor sees a raise, the deck, the track record, the data room and the terms are set against the questions an investment committee asks.

Introductions carry our name

Introductions are made personally, and only to investors whose mandate fits. An allocator knows that a raise from us has already been reviewed.

After the close

The relationships opened in a raise are kept working through regular contact, so the next one begins with investors who know the manager.

When managers come to us

Most mandates begin with one of a small number of situations. These are the ones we are asked about most.

01

If a raise is stalling, come to us.

A raise open for months usually needs a change in who it is speaking to and what they are shown. We reposition the materials and take it back out to a different order of investors.

02

If you need investors who help you scale, not only invest, come to us.

We introduce investors whose mandate includes operating support, co-investment and follow-on capital, and we confirm that fit before either side hears the other's name.

03

If allocators are not replying, come to us.

An introduction from us is read because it is made selectively and arrives with materials ready for a committee.

04

If you need Gulf capital, come to us.

We hold relationships with sovereign funds and family offices in the region and prepare managers for how those investors engage.

05

If you are weighing a sale of the business, come to us.

We confirm what the owner wants before any work on value begins, and we bring the counterparties the sale needs.

06

If investors have gone quiet after the close, come to us.

We keep the relationships opened in a raise working, with contact written for the people who report to a committee, so the next raise starts with them.

Our services

We advise on raising equity capital and the investor relationships that follow it, and on the sale of a business. Each service is run by the people who take the mandate.

How We Work

Every raise runs in a set order, from a thirty minute first conversation to investor relations after the close, with one owner for each stage.
