In the MarketRegulation
The SEC proposes wider individual access to private markets.

The SEC proposed a package to widen individual investor access to private market strategies. It would let registered advisers earn performance fees from more client types, including regulated funds, update the interval fund rules, and replace case-by-case orders for multi-share-class closed-end funds with a standard rule.
It also asked for comment on letting people qualify as accredited investors through credentials such as a CPA, CFA or CFP, certain FINRA licences, or a new exam.

These are proposals with a 60-day comment period. They are not final rules.
If adopted, they would make it easier to build vehicles for the wealth channel. Managers raising today may want to consider that in their product planning.
